Why do some people purchase Instagram accounts?

What do people actually do with the Instagram accounts they buy?


I really wonder what happens after someone buys one. Do they try to make money from it? Maybe they send direct messages to 1,050 or even 8,900 followers to sell something. Maybe they use different growth tricks with other pages. I’m not really sure.


Do they turn the page into a business? Do they promote products? Or do they just keep posting to grow it even bigger?


I honestly don’t know how it works, and I’m very curious to learn more about it.

I’ve heard that older accounts grow faster than brand-new ones. For example, an account that is 3 or 4 years old might grow 6% better than one made last week. So maybe that’s why some people choose to buy older accounts instead of starting from 0.


But I could be wrong about that. I’m just guessing.
