MMO CR Where’s the safest place to keep my digital coins? Should I use a wallet like Metamask or Phantom, or just leave them on an app like an exchange?

I heard that cold wallets like Ledger and Trezor are the safest, but they don’t ship to where I live.

So, what should I do instead? Is it better to keep my crypto on apps like Binance, Gate, or MEXC? Or should I move it to something like Trust Wallet, Metamask, or Phantom?

If you don’t mind, could you share the apps or wallets you trust the most? Thanks a lot — really helpful!

If it were me, I’d keep the money in a hot wallet like Trust Wallet. But here are a few smart tips:

Write your secret 11–23 words in a notebook and hide it somewhere safe.

Use a different phone or tablet—not the one you use every day. If you don’t have an extra device, use a different browser.

Never click “yes” to anything weird. Don’t let the wallet connect to websites.

You don’t have to log in to see your coins—just search your wallet address to check your balance.

Thanks a bunch for replying!
Can’t wait to hear what others think too!

From all the choices out there, both Metamask and Trust Wallet work just fine. Just make sure to cancel any old permissions you gave to stuff before.

Which one do you like best? Or do you use both of them? I’ll remember to remove all the old stuff just to be safe.

I’ve tried both, but I use Trust Wallet more than Metamask.
I just feel safer with Trust.

Metamask has been in the news a bunch—for stuff like people losing their coins or getting hacked. Like one time in 2023, there was a big story about wallets getting emptied. And in 2022, folks weren’t too happy when they said they’d start saving IP addresses.

Trezor and Ledger are some of the top choices, but don’t buy them online. Instead, plan a trip to another country and pick one up there! 😄

Cold wallets are the way to go! Try to stay away from extension-based wallets unless you really need them in a hurry or when you're on the move.

It’s a smart idea to keep your crypto in two places—maybe half in Trust Wallet and the other half in MetaMask. That way, your stuff isn’t all in one spot.

And if you really want to stay super safe, you can use a phone that doesn’t go online for those apps. That makes it harder for anyone to mess with your wallets.

And hey, if you're feeling brave, you could always let me hold your crypto... who knows what might happen, right? 😄

If you can’t use cold wallets, try using a hot wallet instead.
Trust Wallet is a pretty good choice.

Don’t pick any of those — the smartest way is to use a cold wallet.

Make sure to spread your coins across different apps. The money you use every day for trading should stay easy to reach. The rest—the stuff you’re saving for a long time—should be locked up safely in a special offline wallet.

Put your digital coins in apps that don’t belong to just one company—like ones that let you be the boss of your money. Some cool ones are out there, kind of like Super Wallet or Magic Vault.

It’s safer to keep your shiny coins in a frozen treasure chest, far from the internet. But if you need to use them often, there’s a handy little app I like—it works pretty well. I still keep a few coins in one of those big online trading shops, like CoinPit, just so I can swap them around fast.
