I bought an older YouTube channel and used a USA VPN so my videos would reach people in the United States. But my Shorts only get about 8–12 views at most. I even tried switching to a different niche, but the problem is still there.

Does anyone know how I can help my Shorts rank better and get more views?

Also, do things like SMM services or buying extra views actually help YouTube Shorts grow, or is that a bad idea? 🤔

Using SMM services or paying for fake views is usually not a smart move. YouTube is quite good at spotting that kind of activity, and it can even hurt your channel later on.

A better idea is to make videos that keep people watching for longer. Try to grab the viewer’s attention in the first few seconds so they don’t scroll away.

You can also look at other creators in your new niche and study what they are doing well. See which videos get good views and try to learn from them.

If your Shorts stay around 9–12 views even after changing your niche, the problem may not be the topic. It could be how the channel performs with the algorithm.

Buying fake views usually doesn’t help. YouTube can detect that kind of activity very fast, especially with Shorts.

If a video doesn’t grab attention in the first few seconds, the platform will stop pushing it, no matter where the viewers are from.

A better idea is to study videos in your niche that already get good views. Look at their speed, style, and format, then try to improve your own Shorts. Also remember, using a VPN alone won’t help much if people don’t stay and watch the video.

Buying fake views is not a good idea, because YouTube can notice it and it might hurt your channel’s rank. Instead, try to make videos that keep people watching, especially in the first few seconds. Look at other creators in your niche and see what they do that works.
