I have a method to share that you may find useful. If you have old accounts on forums that you don't visit often, you can edit your old posts to insert a backlink, as posting links and advertisements are typically not permitted. Assuming the forum's CMS allows it, this can be done without anyone noticing. I have employed this strategy on many forums where I have accounts that have not been visited in years. You can identify the forums you have used over the years by searching for "forum" in your email inbox and then visiting each one. Even on Reddit, this method can be used by editing an old post or comment. Alternatively, you can join a forum now, post or reply to someone, and then edit the post later. However, keep in mind that not all forums allow for the editing of old posts, such as MMOlearn.
