If I bought an older account from 2023 and it looks shadow banned, is it basically ruined or can it still be fixed?

In some cases, it can get better if you use it like a normal account, avoid spam, and clean up your profile.

But older accounts are not always worth keeping if the account already has a bad reputation.

Yeah, it's always a risk. Most of the time, the account doesn't really recover. It also depends on which app or site you're using. If it got banned, there was probably a reason, and that can be hard to fix. Before you try to save it, look at your old posts. If they get almost no likes, it's probably better to move on. Starting a new account and growing it the normal way can be easier than spending a lot of time trying to bring the old one back.
