How do you create thumbnails for YouTube videos?

Do you make them on your own or pay someone to do it? And do you use AI to help create your thumbnails?

I feel like AI does a good job making thumbnails. It only has trouble when there are detailed people in the picture, but other than that, it works fine.

I use tools like Adobe Express and Canva. They have tons of ready-made templates. They also help me save a bunch of time.

I grab thumbnail ideas online and change them in Canva to make them look different.
